Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group - Video Games

PlayStation 4 in my opinion is a big cash cow all together, however in respect to the article “PLAYSTATION NOW – Is this yet another cash cow for Sony to milk?” “PlayStation Now” is one of the lead reasons why PlayStation 4 dominates the market. The sales success of these consoles also have to do with the titles that they release hence still giving credit to the software side of the business. It turns out that more people purchase PS4 for its titles on the console, as opposed to the Xbox One less people purchase because the titles they aren’t interesting.

Xbox one is the dog of the gaming console industry. More people have purchased PlayStation 4 because of its features as opposed to the Xbox one. However according to the article “PLAYSTATION NOW – Is this yet another cash cow for Sony to milk?”, Playstation is dominating the market due to the online experience .However, accessory sales were up 14 percent, enough to somewhat offset the decline across video game sales to just 5 percent when looking at sales of software, hardware and accessories together.

The Nintendo Wii and respect to the PlayStation four and Xbox one has not had good sales in the wow. I don't think that we even exist anymore. Thinking up gaming consoles the market is dominated back Xbox one and PlayStation. How ever PlayStation four is still the Cashcow of the industry. I think the Nintendo in ex will help Nintendo's market share increase and at least catch up to the competitors.
