WEEK 3 EOC: Profit Companies Giving Back

The company I chose to highlight in giving back is Coco Cola. They are outstanding in how they give back to their customers and people who support their brand. Coco Cola gave out scholarships to students who qualify for a scholarship to a college. The company decide to reach out to a group of young people to award the scholarships to them. The reaction from the students is amazing! Coco Cola supports that in this country you can become anything you want through hard work and dedication and that is what this scholarship supports. Education is a key to social mobility in the United States. Through hard work and dedication, you can become anything you want in this country. In the U.S., and around the world, the cost of higher education has been rising at alarming rates. As a result, financial obstacles often get in the way of educational opportunities that could otherwise enable students to pursue their aspirations. Coco Cola scholarship foundation has decided to award around 3.1 million dollars to students who are going to college. They reward these scholarships to students who are forward thinkers and people who they think are leaders of tomorrow. The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has helped over 5,550 outstanding high school students since their establishment in 1986, as a way for Coca-Cola Bottlers to give back to their local communities. The Foundation was established to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Coca−Cola and to establish a legacy for the education of tomorrow’s leaders through college scholarships.
